Database of the Month: Heritage Quest Online!

Are you trying to find the branches on your family tree? Try Heritage Quest Online! Some of the many resources in this genealogy database are the complete set of US Federal Census images from 1790-1930; selected records from the Revolutionary War Era Pension and Bounty-Land Warrant Application Files; and Freedman's Bank records from 1865-1874. Start the quest for your heritage when you click the Heritage Quest button.

  • Online references in Kids' Catalog for elementary school aged children (K-4th grade).
  • TexShare full-text electronic databases for middle school through adult learning. TexShare Databases are a program of the Texas State Library and Archives Commission.
  • LearningExpressLibrary - learning centers from elementary school through college, GED prep, job skills and tests prep, citizenship, practice tests for TAKS, ACT, SAT, CLEP, etc.
  • eLibrary is a great place to go for research. You will find newspapers, magazines, books, maps, images and will help you create timelines and slideshows.

Application for a library card is made online through the library catalog. Once you have completed your self-registration form, please come to the library with your photo ID and proof of your current residence. You will have 30 days to complete this process before your registration expires.
