As the director of Parks and Recreation, Mr. Reid is responsible for the city activities in the areas of park development and maintenance, recreation services, solid waste removal, environmental awareness, and health inspections.
 

Mr. Reid has worked for the City of Coppell since 1997. He began his career in Coppell in a park development, management and administrative capacity. Mr. Reid has served as the director of Parks and Recreation since 2003. Prior to coming to Coppell, he served in a capacity of park development and management for the City of Irving for 13 years. Mr. Reid has been a resident of Coppell since 1985 and has seen the impact of the recent development boom of the city. He holds a Bachelor of Landscape Architecture from Texas Tech University, is a licensed Landscape Architect in the State of Texas and maintains a State of Texas Irrigator's license.
