Mission

The Traffic Control Division's mission is to maintain all types of traffic control devices in a manner that meets or exceeds the requirements of the Texas Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices. It is also our mission to respond promptly to complaints and emergency conditions related to traffic control devices associated with traffic signal equipment failures, power outages, storms, and vehicular impacts.

Traffic Control technicians currently maintain 502 signal light heads and over 9,000 signs within the city limits of Coppell.
